Splurge is such a great word, isn’t it? Who says retail has to be boring? I love these spots. The icing on the cake was getting the original Dr Who to voice them. (Genius AB). The end super end was made for real. And we managed to persuade the client to make for real, as in a 4 metre version outside their head office in Milton, Brisbane. Unfortunately they’ve moved on since, and it was taken down. Great client. Miss ’em.

Here’s the sign outside their head office. I designed it to rotate, but I left the agency before it went through the engineering stage. Still, it did its job as a reminder to the tv, plus worked as a sales dummy for thousands of motorists driving into the city every day seeing the latest sales offers.
